Plot[]
During the opening credits, a young Barry Allen comes home from school to find his mother brutally murdered. His father is sent to prison for the crime. Years later, Barry is now a forensic scientist for the Central City Police Department. One night as he prepares to leave work, a lightning bolt strikes and destroys a case of chemical and spills them all over Barry. As a result, Barry learns he now has super speed. Barry decides to use his powers to help humanity. He designs the costume and names himself The Flash.
